October 4 (Sat) 3 – 4 PM — Come join us at Memorial Park to protest the ongoing genocide in Gaza and stand in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla!
October 12 (Sun) 1:30 PM — In recognition of two years of Israel’s relentless genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, as well as National Disability Awareness Month in the U.S., Wenatchee for Palestine will be screening the short documentary Severed. Severed follows Mohamad Saleh, a Palestinian teenager from Gaza who lost his leg at only 12 years old, and has survived five Israeli military assaults. We will have shirts and prints from Float for Falastin!, raising money for Gaza Soup Kitchen. We will also collect donations for Severed community members in Gaza.
October 18 (Sat) 1 – 3 PM — Our local NCW ACTs coalition is organizing another large rally as part of the No Kings mass mobilization. Come represent Palestine at the rally! There’s more info on the Mobilize page here.
October 24-25 (Fri-Sat) — House of Sumoud in Leavenworth presents another charity event! Ya Hala will be hosting a special community space at the festival to foster an intimate and familiar sense of home for those who know Palestine and the Levant. It is a new and engaging experience for those less familiar, and all are welcome. Tickets are $40. See their eventbrite page for more information.
